Velvety, vivid, and seriously eye-catching—Gynura aurantiaca, also known as Purple Passion, brings bold violet hues to its fuzzy leaves and fast-growing trailing stems. It’s one of those plants that begs for a touch, thrives with bright light, and steals the show in a hanging pot or sunny windowsill.

Plant Care 

Light: Bright indirect light will tolerate lower light levels; a North or East-facing window is ideal.  

Watering: This plant likes to be consistently moist, so best not to let your plant dry out between waterings.

Temperature: 18°C is ideal for these plants; they don't like getting too cold or drafty! 

Potting: A soil that helps retain moisture with good drainage is ideal. Our Thirst Trap is a good fit for this plant. 

Hot tips: Prune regularly to keep it full and prevent legginess. Pinch back the tips to encourage bushy growth. Bright orange blooms may appear in spring—but be warned, they’re not known for their scent.

You can use them without a moisturizer, but I like to put moisturizer on my heels, then wear these overnight, and in the morning my heels are soft, with no dry skin and NO cracks. I like the fact that these are kind of soft and fuzzy (outside), but I LOVE that they leave your toes exposed and cool (because my heels feel kind of warm from the moisturizer and gel pad). They are of good thickness, and I feel they will last a long time (of course remains to be seen). Highly recommend.
