Fortunately, we created this all-natural formula with root vegetables in mind. In our garden trials, plants fed with Root Crops Alive!™ produced 57% more potatoes by weight! This fertilizer will help improve the thickness of each stem so that the roots grow full and large, reduce water loss through leaves so plants hold up to dry spells, and act as an antidote to excess nitrogen. It also helps the plants resist disease. Try it when planting garlic, onions, beets, carrots, potatoes and turnips.

• Midseason: 1 lb. Root Crops Alive! per 50 sq. ft.

• Side-dressing: make 1 inch deep furrow near base of each plant and pour a pencil thick line of fertilizer into the furrow.
